The Kindle Fire HD 7" Tablet Review

It is said that the Kindle Fire HD 7" Tablet is the most advanced 7" Tablet in the world. With over 2,346 real life customer reviews and over 7000 likes on Amazon, one of the world's largest online shop, the Kindle fire HD 7" is most definitely a must-have. After all, the customer is always right!

The Kindle Fire HD 7" tablet has 40% faster downloads than the Ipad 3. Quite something! It features a 1920 x 1200 resolution screen with a 254ppi. Amazon has also added a polarizing filter in an attempt to cut down glare for those who want to use it in daylight. In a move to highlight the Apple iPad's single speaker, the Kindle Fire HD comes with Dolby Digital Plus stereo speakers. It also has two Wi-Fi antennas to help boost Wi-Fi performance around your home. Storage-wise, you will get options from 16GB. However, a few people think that the Kindle Fire HD 7" is a little heavier than it should be.

On the software side of things it's a slightly changed interface with some new tricks, the most exciting of which for parents is Kindle FreeTime. The feature lets you set different time limits for different kinds of content for your kids. Books? Unlimited. Games and TV? Limited. Over 22 million movies, TV shows, songs, magazines, books, audiobooks, and popular apps and games such as Facebook, Netflix, Twitter, HBO GO, Pandora, and Angry Birds Space.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7" Tablet also gives free unlimited cloud storage for all your Amazon content. Integrated support for Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo! and more, as well as Exchange calendar, contacts, and email. Other software features include X-Ray for Movies, Immersion Reading, and Whispersync for Games a service that like Apple iCloud syncing would allow games developers to store game progress in the cloud.

X-Ray for Movies, just like X-Ray for books is a feature that uses the Internet Movie Database (IMDB) to name the actors for you while you are watching the movies. On the measurements front it will measure 8.8mm thick and weigh 566g. The 7-inch Kindle Fire HD costs as from $189.

A report at iFixit - the guys who take new gadgets apart so we don't have to - has concluded the Kindle Fire HD 7" won't be impossible to repair or upgrade. Citing a "very easy to open" backplate, relatively few internal components and no adhesive to hold the battery in place, they scored it 7/10 for "repairability" - the same as the Nexus 7, but a big jump from the latest iPad's 2/10 rating. It might not be exceptionally easy to upgrade the processor or LCD display, but you shouldn't have to send it in to the factory just to replace the battery.

Buy it now from Amazon and get a special offer courtesy of the holidays.
